More
than a Game
Pine & Tiles is an American Mahjong event and instruction company serving Southeastern North Carolina. Founded by Elly and Jory, we offer beginner lessons, guided play, open play, private events, tournaments, and custom Mahjong experiences designed to make the game approachable, social and fun!
Whether you are looking to learn Mahjong, host a private gather, add an interactive experience to your venue or event, or simply find a place to play, Pine & Tiles provides the instruction, equipment, and event support to bring people together
We teach the game. We host the experience. We build community
Elly Johnson & Jory Barnes
Jory and Elly founded Pine & Tiles with a simple goal: bring people together. We wanted to grow the game of American Mahjong, make new friends, and create something that happened in real life, around a table & not behind a screen.
What began as a love for the game has become our space for community to gather, connect, and keep growing.
